چکیده
Introduction: Aedes aegypti is a key vector for the spread of several severe arboviral infections. The Indonesian Ministry Health launched Temephos as national effort to limit larvae population. old theory has been passed down generations that principle mechanism action temephos neurotoxin. main aim this study was investigate stomach poison by using histopathology study. Method: There are two treatments with three replications: container containing only 100 ml water tween 20 and 1 ppm 8G. third-instar Ae. in containers 8G were compared those Tween-20. experiment done replications. number dead recorded after 24 hours treatment. Histological sections larval midgut prepared stained hematoxylin-eosin (HE). Light microscopy used examine changes length lumen epithelium. Data analyzed one-way ANOVA. appearances nucleus epithelial cell degree damage qualitatively observed. Results: results showed no found control group, however, 100% mortality group. epithelium significantly different from group (p<0.05). Nuclei cells lost damaged Conclusions: This reports first discovery other than neurotoxin, namely

Larvicidal Efficacy of Temephos against Aedes Aegypti
Three new formulations of temephos (LAVIFOS SG 1%, MOSQ SG 1% and AZAI-SS ZG 1%) were evaluated for larvicidal efficacy against larvae of Aedes aegypti (L.) in waterstorage jars under field-simulated conditions. LAVIFOS SG 1% and MOSQ SG 1% are sand granule formulations, whereas AZAI-SS ZG 1% is zeolite granule formulation. Each formulation contained 1% temephos as an active ingredient. Each fo...

The bioefficacy of a commercial formulation of temephos, Creek against Aedes aegypti larvae was studied in the laboratory. Earthen jars were filled with 10 L tap water each. One g of temephos (Creek) sand granule formulation was added into each earthen jar as recommended by the manufacturer. The final test concentration of Creek was 1 mg a.i./L. One earthen jar was filled with 10 L tap water an...
متن کاملResidual activity of three slow-release temephos formulations against Aedes aegypti larvae.
Residual effectiveness of plaster matrix formulations of temephos and temephos plus an emulsifier (Atlox 3409F) were evaluated against Aedes aegypti larvae during an 8-wk period. Formulations of 2% and 5% (AI) Atlox with 5% (AI) temephos yielded 100% larval mortality for 8 wk. A 5% temephos formulation without the addition of the emulsifier produced 100% larval mortality through only 1 wk.

background: dengue fever is a serious public health issue in pakistan for many years. globally plants have been reported to contain compounds with insecticidal properties. these properties have been demonstrated more recently on the larval stages of mosquitoes. therefore, citrus cultivar seeds were evaluated for larvicidal potential against the primary dengue vector aedes aegypti . methods: ext...
متن کاملQTL Mapping of Genome Regions Controlling Temephos Resistance in Larvae of the Mosquito Aedes aegypti
INTRODUCTION The mosquito Aedes aegypti is the principal vector of dengue and yellow fever flaviviruses. Temephos is an organophosphate insecticide used globally to suppress Ae. aegypti larval populations but resistance has evolved in many locations. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL) controlling temephos survival in Ae. aegypti larvae were mapped in a pair of F3 adv...
